Workshops for Young Scientists: Characterization of Carbon Materials
We cordially invite all interested participants to the Workshop for Young Scientists, which will take place on June 23, 2026, from 09:00 to 17:00, at the Laboratory of Materials Research, Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, 18A Konarskiego St., ground floor. Registration is required to participate. The registration form is located at the bottom of the page.

Practical sessions will include measurements using:
- High-resolution transmission electron microscope S/TEM TITAN 80-300 (ThermoFisher) with a condenser spherical aberration (Cs) corrector, and EDS and EELS spectrometers.
- Scanning electron microscope SEM SUPRA 35 (ZEISS) with SE, In-Lens, and BSE detectors, as well as EDS and EBSD spectrometers.
- X-ray diffractometer XRD X’Pert Pro (Panalytical).
- Raman spectrometer inVia Reflex (Renishaw).
- X-ray photoelectron spectrometer (XPS) with a PREVAC EA15 spherical electron energy analyzer and a 2D-MCP detector.

- The workshops are part of the 12th Carbon Symposium.
- Participation is free for conference attendees.
- Certificates of attendance will be provided.
